There are many rides, but only one is America’s bicycle touring classic; TOSRV. The Tour of the Scioto River Valley began as a father-and-son outing 1962 before quickly growing into (at one time) the nation’s largest bicycle touring weekend.

Typically, about 1500 cyclists participate in the annual May weekend tour. The tour will leave from either Canal Winchester, Chillicothe, or Portsmouth on Saturday morning – rider preference! Parking for north start riders will be available at BrewDog’s DogTap Brewery on Gender Road, the location of the post-ride celebration and certificate pick-up. Parking for south start riders will be available at the SOMC Friends Center/LIFE Center in Portsmouth. Chillicothe riders will park on any street within Yoctangee Park.

Saturday riders can ride a Quarter TOSRV, 25 miles to the first food stop and 25 miles returning to either Canal Winchester or Portsmouth the same day. The half TOSRV takes riders approximately 50 miles, through two foods stops, and back again. The party in Portsmouth includes live music, food trucks, and fun!

TOSRV is organized by Columbus Outdoor Pursuits (COP), an organization with a full range of non-competitive outdoor activities. The tour has become known as America's Bicycle Touring Classic.
