Ride is rescheduled for July 12, 2020.
We, Melanie Schrock Perry and Ned Broadwater have established what we believe to be a fun and healthy way to give people a way to help fight Alzheimer's. On June 20th, 2020, we are organizing our Second Annual The Longest Day event, a 65 mile bike ride and it will be limited to 65 riders. The number 65 is significant because every 65 seconds someone in America is diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Once you register, you will receive an email with additional information regarding the ride. The registration fee is $20 to create your team and a total of $200 if you want to participate in the ride. This can be from your own or from multiple donations you receive via your team.
So far we have two wonderful sponsors; Moontown Brewery in Whitestown, where we will start and end the ride, and Titus Bakery in Westfield, who will be hosting our first sag.
Our goal is $15,000 but my hope is we will be able to increase that amount as people join and get more passionate about raising funds to fight the battle.
In the meantime, feel free to donate or start your own team.
More info on merchandise to follow. Once you register, you will receive an email with additional information about the ride. Ride will be paved roads in Hamilton, Boone and Hendricks county. Mostly rural.
