YIKES! BIKES! follows a scenic, 40 or 60 mile route across a countryside of hardwoods and pines, small farms, rural home sites and smaller lakes with a final stretch on the Heartland Bike Trail along the western shore of beautiful Leech Lake. The 18-mile ride is an "out and back" on the Heartland Trail going north from Walker. Most of the ride occurs on paved roadways.

Riders will experience "Up-North" hospitality at the rest stops which provide food, beveages and music. Your safety is our utmost concern, and helmets are required. SAG wagon support will be available. We emphasize that this is a tour and not a race, so bicyclists of all abilities are invited to join in for a fun day of cycling. The finish area will close at 1:30 p.m.

(BRinIN Note - I just love this ride's name)
