Join up to 10,000 bicyclists on Saturday night/Sunday morning July 12/13 for McDonald's L.A.T.E. Ride, hosted by and benefiting Friends of the Parks. Enjoy a 25-mile ride through Chicago's neighborhoods and along the lakefront. Cycle past skyscrapers, hear "Opaah!" in Greek Town, cruise through the North Side, wave to onlookers, and watch the sun rise over Lake Michigan. Plus, enjoy tons of snacks at the rest stop and breakfast back at Buckingham Fountain.

McDonald's L.A.T.E. Ride is Chicago's biggest charity bicycle ride! Proceeds from the event benefit Friends of the Parks, a 33-year-old not-for-profit parks advocacy group whose mission is to protect and improve Chicago's parks and forest preserves in Cook County.

Along the 25-mile route, cyclists will hear shouts of "Opaah!" in Greek Town, travel through North and Northwest Side neighborhoods and enjoy the beautiful lakefront bicycle path under the stars! You'll enjoy refeshments at the River Park rest stop, located at the 12-mile mark, and end your trek with a sunrise breakfast at Buckingham Fountain. Most participants finish the ride in approximately 3 hours (although some finish in 2 hours and some take up to 5 hours). It's a non-competitive event, so ride at your own pace and enjoy the city. Breakfast will be available at Buckingham Fountain between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
