The Pumpkinvine Bike Ride will satisfy bicyclists who want a light or vigorous workout on low-traffic county roads. The 15, 64 and 102-mile routes are rolling country roads and a few sections with moderate hills.

All of the routes are also interesting to bicyclists who want to experience horses with buggies, farm animals in fields, flower gardens, one-room schools and small towns. Country stores and businesses that operate without electricity are marked on the route maps and you are welcome to stop for a visit.

Ride proceeds benefit development of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. The Ninth annual Pumpkinvine Bike Ride supports development of 17-mile rail-trail between Goshen,Middlebury and Shipshewana. Ride on two miles of developed trail and then on county roads.

Generous SAGs, home-made pie and ice cream served at the end of the ride. Join 1000 bicyclists and enjoy Amish countryside, new born colts in pastures,Amish stores and bike shops. The 15-mile Country-life Loop stops at an Amish farm, a round barn, Chief Shipshewana Memorial, and other sites.
