Join us for an unforgettable week-long journey around the tip of Michigan's mitten! Beginning in Alpena and traversing through Mackinaw City toward Traverse City, Shoreline 2025 will showcase the stunning coastlines of both Lake Huron and Lake Michigan.

Experience serene waters, picturesque lighthouses, tranquil forests, and beautiful beaches, all while enjoying delicious fudge along the way. This cycling tour will take you through some of northern Michigan's most exquisite treasures.You can ride any bicycle in good mechanical condition on Shoreline. This includes trikes, recumbents, tandems, unicycles, and e-bikes. The standard route is designed to accommodate road bikes. Mountain, hybrid, cyclocross, and gravel bikes will have a blast on the routes. If you are using a standard road bike or touring bike, consider fitting wider tires for comfort. All main routes on Shoreline this year are paved.

3-Day Option: For folks looking to get an introduction to bike touring in a hotel-based setting, this 3-day event is a great place to start. Sunrise now features the start of SHORELINE. So you can use this event to test your legs and get your gear ready for the big ride in August. If hotels are your thing this is the one and only non camping event in the LMB's 2025 line up. The routes for this event are 100% pavement based. With the exception of the Sunday routes the two options on the NE trail are crushed stone trails.
