According to founder, Paula Kaufman, "Out of a Jam was started to help women not only out of a simple jam, but also to assist those caught in the wake of tragedy, domestic abuse, and addiction. We see a tremendous opportunity to help women make a "forward" transition in life. We hope this effort can help build a better and stronger community by focusing on the issues confronting hundreds of women in the Fort Wayne area. My love for all things in the kitchen and a strong business background has inspired me to start 'Out of a Jam'."  Local women enrolled in the program learn to make jam while acquiring the skills required in the food service industry. Paula says "The jam is just the bow on the package, the real gifts are the changed lives of Fort Wayne Women."  Learn more about this amazing organization and their goals by going to: http://www.outofajamfortwayne.com/about
